Chelsea reach Michael Olise agreement amid Christopher Nkunku transfer concern – The Pride of London

Unsurprisingly, there is plenty going on in the transfer realm for Chelsea. The frivolous spenders who are known to be very vocal about their transfer plans have reached an agreement on personal terms for their potential new signing.

According to a report from GIVEMESPORT, Chelsea have reached an agreement on personal terms with Michael Olise. Now, the next stage for Chelsea is to enter discourse with Crystal Palace about arranging a transfer fee. Given that Olise has a release clause in his current Selhurst Park contract, the Blues are understandably confident.

That said, there is still an opportunity for another club to swoop in and steal Olise from Chelsea’s hands. Therefore, the Stamford Bridge higher-ups must be proactive in getting this deal over the line efficiently to avoid any potential hiccup.

Michael Olise has been making great strides for Crystal Palace, becoming one of the best players in the lower half of the table. He has been prepared for the next step up for a long time now and being the set-piece specialist he is, could be of great service to Chelsea in their new-look Enzo Maresca setup at Stamford Bridge.

On that note, the GMS report also states that Christopher Nkunku is attracting interest from the emerging Saudi Pro League. It is noted that Chelsea are not considering a sale with the current conditions, but if a huge offer comes in, then they are more likely to sanction his sale.

Christopher Nkunku has not lived up to the expectation when he was signed last summer. However, it must be acknowledged that he was on the sideline for most of the season and even after his return from the unfortunate injury, he was eased back into the starting lineup gradually.

It also didn’t help Nkunku’s case that he returned at the height of Cole Palmer’s powers, so competition was rife in the starting lineup.

As things stand, Nkunku is expected to play a big role under the new manager for the 2024/25 campaign. He had bad luck in his first spell under Mauricio Pochettino, but this will only add fuel to the fire, to encourage Nkunku to strike gold under Maresca. He will certainly have the backing of his club

Do you think Michael Olise and Christopher Nkunku is a good combination?
