According to Foot Mercato, Paris Saint-Germain are open to selling Presnel Kimpembe (28) this summer, with the France international yet to recover from a severe ankle injury.
Kimpembe has not played a game since February 2023, when he suffered an ankle injury that required surgery. The Frenchman then returned to first-team training in December 2023 and a return from the ruptured Achilles tendon blow looked to be nearing. However, he did not feel comfortable and chose to undergo further surgery in January.
In the meantime, Kimpembe’s contract was set to expire. Determined not to lose him for free, Les Parisiens extended his deal until 2026. However, that doesn’t mean that Kimpembe won’t leave at all. Given his recurring injuries and the stiff competition in the PSG defence, Les Parisiens are willing to listen to offers this summer. However, that is not to say that Kimpembe is amongst the players that PSG are looking to necessarily offload. A departure will only take form if a reasonable offer arrives.
