Olympique de Marseille have already been active in the transfer window, bringing in Ismaël Koné and Lilian Brassier, whilst there are ongoing talks to bring in Mason Greenwood from Manchester United and Alexis Sánchez on a free transfer.
However, there will also be departures. Some, OM will be wanting to avoid, such as Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who is the subject of two offers from Saudi Arabia. There are other players that will be pushed towards the exit door as new manager Roberto De Zerbi passes judgement on his new squad.
RMC Sport understands that four first-team regulars don’t feature in De Zerbi’s plans at Marseille. It is no secret that the club are looking to sell goalkeeper Pau Lopez, the subject of interest from Como, however, he is also looking to part ways with Jordan Veretout, Chancel Mbemba, and Samuel Gigot, all of whom played a starring role last season. The four players have been training with the first team but are then left out when De Zerbi works on tactical elements. They seemingly don’t feature in De Zerbi’s plans at Marseille going forward.
