Hilton has announced a partnership with the Argentine professional football team Club Atlético River Plate to host its players and staff on the road.
In between training and competitions, the River Plate team and coaches now have full access to Hilton’s global hotel portfolio which spans 126 countries and territories.
The collaboration also aims to provide one-of-a-kind experiences for both organisations’ biggest fans.
Building on previous partnerships in the music, sports and entertainment world, Hilton Honors members will have access to a curated selection of experiences available through the platform alongside River Plate loyalty members.
This will kick off during the team’s pre-season tour and continue throughout the rest of 2024.
Hilton senior vice-president and head of operations Caribbean and Latin America Jorge Giannattasio commented: “We are excited to partner with Club Atlético River Plate and further the connection between sports and travel.”
Club Atlético River Plate president Jorge Brito added: “This agreement is important for our entire organisation because it creates the opportunity for our members to enjoy experiences within Hilton’s loyalty programme, connecting the sports industry with the travel industry in a very positive way.”
As well as offering sports-related rewards, Hilton Honors recently extended its exclusive partnership with premier outdoor hospitality company AutoCamp in the US.
