No Match of the Day? No problem!
talkSPORT have launched a new ‘Game of the Day’ show which will debut on Saturday night to keep football fans covered during the BBC boycott.
Sam Matterface will host a new analysis show to look back on the day’s Premier League action
Lineker was pictured arriving at the King Power before kick-off against Tottenham as he enjoyed a rare free Saturday
The BBC’s flagship football programme will last just 20 minutes tonight, without commentary or analysis, after their line-up of talent all pulled out of the show in solidarity with Gary Lineker.
Ian Wright was the first to side with the former England and Leicester striker, after he was stood down from his role as MOTD host over his criticism of the government on social media.
The BBC made the decision on Friday, as they took exception to Lineker criticising the UK government over their new asylum seekers policy, with the 62-year-old likening the language of the bill to that of 1930s Germany.
Alan Shearer was next to announce he would not be appearing, leaving the BBC scrambling to assemble a team without their key trio, only for Alex Scott, Jermaine Jenas, Mark Chapman and others to follow suit.
Their regular commentators then informed the BBC they would not be contributing this weekend, either, leaving them with no other option but to broadcast a stripped-down show.
But, not to worry, because talkSPORT has got you covered, and we’ve even sent Alan Brazil down to the Beeb to give them a hand (sort of).

Having picked up the slack on Saturday after most of Radio 5 Live’s football coverage was binned off, we have made a change to our Saturday evening schedule so the football-loving British public can get the Premier League analysis show they deserve.
At 10:30pm, talkSPORT will bring you ‘Game of the Day’.
We’ll have every single Premier League game dissected, analysed and comprehensively covered… with a cheeky talkSPORT twist.
That includes our live commentary games, Bournemouth vs Liverpool and Tottenham vs Nottingham Forest.
Sam Matterface and Scott Minto were on commentary duty for talkSPORT for Bournemouth vs Liverpool and will host tonight’s show too
And, of course, there will be no censorship of opinion on our airwaves… not when we have Simon Jordan in the house.
The show will be hosted by Sam Matterface, featuring punditry from ex-Chelsea men Jason Cundy and Scott Minto.
Tune into talkSPORT from 10:30pm tonight for ‘Game of the Day’ as we look back on today’s Premier League action.
