Jude Bellingham is a highly sought-after midfielder, but Borussia Dortmund are yet to receive offers for the Englishman. Several top clubs have indicated an interest in signing the 19-year-old midfielder.
Buying established players at exorbitant prices seems to be a dying culture. The top players seem uninterested in going that route. They are more inclined to sign young players with the potential to become stars in the future. Real Madrid seems to have perfected the art, but other clubs are catching up with them.
In recent years, Real Madrid has gone for young, talented players like Vinicius Junior, Rodrygo Goes, Militao and Federico Valverde. The more established players that have arrived at the club did so as free agents. Their scouting department is in overdrive, unearthing talents that could play for the club.
Los Blancos are reportedly, with clubs like Liverpool, Manchester City and Manchester United, interested in signing Jude Bellingham. The teenager is the latest hot property on the market and is a target for several top clubs. However, Borussia Dortmund claims that no bid has arrived for the Englishman.
No offers yet for Bellingham.
The transfer saga involving Jude Bellingham continues to rumble. The future of the former Birmingham midfielder remains uncertain as the rumours of a potential move from Dortmund this January refuses to die. The midfielder – a target for Liverpool, Manchester United, Man City and Real Madrid, is valued by the Bundesliga side at £130 million.
According to the club’s sporting director Sebastian Kehl, interest in Bellingham has remained on the pages of newspapers and the internet. He claims that the club is yet to receive offers for the teenager. It is unclear whether Bellingham has decided on where his future lies.
Bellingham has a contract with Dortmund that expires in 2025. It is unlikely that a move would occur during the January transfer window, but there are suggestions that he could leave in the summer. Reports suggest that Borussia Dortmund would only budge at their £130 million valuation of the player.
Great reports for Bellingham
Undoubtedly, Bellingham is one of the most sought-after players in the world today, with the teenager shining for both club and country. He had an excellent performance at the World Cup and has been impressive for Dortmund. The summer is perhaps the last chance for the Bundesliga side to get big money for him, as he would be free to discuss pre-contract deals with clubs outside of Germany from January 2024.
Borussia Dortmund sporting director spoke glowingly of Bellingham. He told Kicker that the young lad had made incredible development at the club. He continued that the Bundesliga side would be excited to extend his contract with the club. However, he claims there is no pressure to make an immediate decision.
Analysing Bellingham, Kehl said he has the fighting spirit and commitment that makes him a real Borussia player. He said Bellingham identifies with the ethos of the BVB.
Kehl also said he would be stupid to want to give up the player. He claims the club would speak with him and his parents in due course, but there is no pressure.
